I've tried only one so far. Monster is right. A bit dry, so there was some harshness. Letting them nap for now in hopes of them smoothing out. Similar Inios flavor profile.

IMHO, all the PI line needs a minimum of a 4 week nap. (Have some of the "Special aged" coming in the next shipment.)

I've been working on a box of the Regular Maddie coronas and they are certainly worth the price.

Agreed. I am enjoying the Maxima Reserva and the La Viejo lines. Both are excellant choices.

Which are better, the natural or maduro?

Greg...honestly, it's a good mellow medium bodied smoke. Nice consistent flavor, with good construction. The ones I smoked felt a little spongy: either wet or slightly under-filled. But, they smoke great. The maduros are very similar to the naturals, as most PI are.

With Puros Indios, the variation from nat to maddie is so slight, I don't think I could tell the difference.

Hell, as long as we are all thread jacking, I'll even put in a plug for good old Flor del Todo. If you don't mind mix fill, you can't beat 'em for the money, especially at auction prices.

Give them 6 months rest, and I'll put them up against cigars four times the price.

I pulled the trigger on another retailers weekly special. That does sound tempting though. I bet its been 6 months since I have bought a box of domestics...

Didn't like em.

I got some of these a few months ago and smoked one way too early.... Age them 2 months and let them dry out a little.

I bought a box sveral months ago. I couldn't resist the closeout price.

Long and short...DaMM this is a BIG smoke. I think mine are 7.5 x 64?? Funny story: Several months ago I was out at the local Bennigan's and my finace' called. I asked her to bring me a smoke, and of all the smokes (however many) I have...she picked the PI Pyramid. You can imagine the looks I got from the non-smoking patrons that eveing!

It was not a bad smoke. Not remarkable, but not bad. I'm going to a big party tomorrow, I think I'll bust one out and give 'em another try.

not one of my absolute favorites, but after I tried them, I ordered more. I like to keep a half dozen or so around 🙂 On the aging issue, I'm about to take a cigar box, and fill it with some prime candidates for the aging thing, and date it, and set it at the bottom of my humi, and forget about it! I may do this every month, until I start opening the first on in a year. Ever had a Torano 1959 Exodus Gold with a year on it?
