I really like this brand. It is my understand that the "Oliva family" also sells their maduro leaf to other cigar mfgs. to use in construction of certain cigars. Does anyone know what other cigars use the Oliva grown product in thier ciars?

The Oliva's that make cigars and the Oliva's that grow and sell tobacco are two different families. X

A great many of them, at some point or another.

The Oliva Family does not produce cigars ... but grows for all the other factories ... including Fuente.

There are two different Oliva's, very distantly related ... and the Oliva family you are talking about, just grows tobacco for sale to various factories only, and does not sell finished product.

Tabacalera Oliva is the facorty that produces the cigars you are referring to ...

Currently operated by Gilberto Oliva, the Tabacalera Oliva is a family run business that has been passed through no less than five generations.

Oliva was Cuba born (right across the street from the Hoya de Monterey factory as a matter of fact). When Castro took control of the country, Gilberto's family moved to Nicaragua, and were soon forced to move again in 1979 at the hands of still yet another civil revolution.

He moved back to Nicaragua and is still producing some of the finest brands being distributed today.
