just got a 5 pak of torano exodus 1959 torpedo. could not even get a draw off it, box pressed is one thing this is steamrolled. has anyone else had the same outcome?

I've smoked many of the Toranos 1959, they are real good. Seems to me that many times my cigars are a little moist right from Cbid. Maybe thats all it is....maybe...

Hey guys, I know this should be on the trades board but wasn't sure if you would see it. I recently bought the CT X 1959 Limited Edition Perfecto four pack you are talking about here. Frankly, I wasn't all that crazy about the one I lit up tonight. So, I have 3 left plus the cutesy little box. Are either of you interested in a trade of any sort? Hope you had a great 4th.

Have enjoyed many of the Torano 1959 both gold and silver and the only problem I have seen is uneven burn on most but otherwise flavorful and no draw problems.

You might want to put those other 3 away for 3 or 4 more weeks then try another, it might suprise you. Don't be in a hurry to judge them by the first one out of the box fresh from shipping. You'll still have 2 trade if they're not to your liking.

I had the same problem with my first one about a week ago. I also surmised that it could've just been wet OTT. I'm letting 'em rest awhile too.

I had the same problem witha Ghurka masters. Then tried another about a month later. Hard to believe it was the same cigar. Let it rest then try it Rob

Have to agree strongly with the sentiments expressed concerning the value of extra aging time in the humidor. This does wonders for balancing out moisture content and changing a clogged smoke into a pleasant draw. Case in point: I posted a while back on the difficulties I'd encountered with the Indian Tabac Gorillas--I'd tried two and both were among the worst burning cigars I'd ever had, which in turn negatively impacted the flavor. Very disappointing, since I enjoy other entries in the Indian Tabac line. Well, after allowing the remaining Gorillas a few more months of rest, I'm pleased to say that the latest one I tried burned and drew perfectly and really tasted great. I've had this scenario play out with many others, so I recommend giving the Toranos some breathing time. Personally, I just can't imagine meeting a Torano I didn't like (with proper rest, of course).

I've never had a bad Toreno. I had one once like Starsky and Hutch, red with a big white stripe?
