Actually I like Pershing. My Grandfather served under him. I have some pictures of him (Pershing) on an inspection tour that gramps took with his browning. If I can find them, I will post them here.

Up until recent years, the South was predominantly Democrat.

And the KKK recruits and has recruited predominately from the South (with the exception of my home state, Indiana, which was pretty much the racist capital of the world in the 1920's).
