Here is my first tattoo. Has my wife's name and "till death do us part" worked into it.

This is a matter of invdividual taste, but after several marriages, I am hesitant to put name on a cake or something, much less a tatoo!

Dude, don't sweat it - nice tatt. I got my wife's name in a flaming heart that reads 'Nancy Forever.' Got it the day we got engaged and have been happily married for some 7 years. It's about "COMMITMENT."

Also just got the initials "JLN" done on my wedding finger - stands for the first initial of my name, our son's name and Nancy's name.

FYI...Depp's tatt now reads, "Wino Forever." That man is one of the coolest human beings on the planet.

No offense, seriously. I've been married 3 times (I'm on #3 now. and I SERIOUSLY hope she's the last! I also believe she will be :0)

Like Jon said, I think it is all about COMMITMENT. My parents divorced when I was really young. Changed me forever. I wanted to get married once so that is the plan. I know things sometimes changed but you can go forward if you place a wall in front of you.

Also it is a little dark but I thought that it combined everything really well.

I was married for 10 years to my last wife, there was a fight. Fights happen, no one can claim they don't. Her son (not my biological) HATED me and was at the core of some of the problems. She simply said, "that's it". There was no warning, at least no perceivable one that I saw. There was no reconciliation, it was just, let me see how hard I can screw you "now". And she did. I was bitter... But, as it worked out, it was the best thing that could have happened. I met my wife, and I love her very much. I've known her 3 years, and we've been married for two, and have a 5 month old, my first, her first 🙂 so it all worked out. I wish I could have met her first. People who have been married and divorced and remarried and divorced are jaded, I was jaded. And I think many are jealous of those who find their life partner on the first try. Best wishes and let's hope you're burried with that tattoo. I really hope you are, and you die happy as an old man 🙂 Congratulations on your wonderful marriage!

Thank you. I appreciate you words. Things happen and there are reasons behind them. I am glad that you are happy now. It is hard when you have the "instant" family. That is what scared me soem. My wife had two kids from a previous marriage. But you just have to try, you never get anything if you don't reach for it.
