Everyone has their own opinion about OpusX, but to each their own and here's mine.

Just wanted to comment on the current batch of OpusX coming through. Before my brother came up to join us in the fishing trip in Idaho last week, he mentioned he picked up some Opus from his local shop in Texas (they've not made it to AZ yet). He brought along some #4s and the xXx. I've got to say that these particular sizes were some of the oiliest and potent Opus I've smoked in a long long time. Very full bodied and heavy in the hand than usual. The flavor profile was much better than the last batch and very full bodied IMHO. I'm hoping the entire line in this batch is this way but I'm particularly targeting the #4s and the xXx this go 'round.

Thanks for the review. I have had both good and "Awful" experience with Opus X. Of course, I can say the same thing about my experience with Havana's.

Grab a few for me once they make it to your neck of the woods. I might have something to trade you for em.

I also noticed the same with the current batch of VSGs that came through my local shop. Very oily, dark and heavy.

jd1 i was quoted 11.50 a piece, however they told me its a 40 cigar box and they only have 15 left.

cruiser: I believe the #4 come 42 to a box and if I remember, I think I paid something on the order of $9.50/stick. I've seen the prices on Opus vary from $1-4 over retail with only a very few shops selling at near retail.

penguin: those Liberty are some fine smokes! not very strong but nice flavor! pee-pee dance...yeah pee--peee dance! (struttin' to the pee-pee dance)

Are you sure that the awful Opus X were not fakes?
