a few weeks ago, ehile walking through a grocery store parking lot, i almost got hit by7 an idot talking on the cell phone and steering through a parking lot,

i'm in the i8nsurance business, and when i get a call from someone dri9ving and using the cell phone, i tell them to call me when they are parked and i hang up.

i have no problem with a law making driving and cell phoning a crime. maybe they could put a dvd player on the dash in front of the driver as an alternative.

thry typing in "True Statement" I posted it many months back... but thats alright that it resurfaced.. couldn't be truer...

I was on I-270 this past weekend and seen a Semi.. had gone up and over the Guard rail on an over pass.. wheels straight up in the Air.. the only thing I could think of is some **** in front of him.. probably talking on a cell phone hit their brakes and the trucker probably couldn't adjust quick enough... they blocked off the whole Interstate and was redirecting traffic.. but I don't think from the looks of it the Trucker made it!!!

when I was out on the Highway on the Bike all over the country.. I would see some pretty messed up ****... people having their car on Auto Pilot and crusing down the Interstate reading a book with both legs proped up in the Dash... like they was home in their Lazy Boy!!!

LoL Rick here in Illinois it is a Law... you have to have a hands free set-up... and I have seen the Cars out there that have a Heads up display off the windshield.. like their flying a fricken Jet or something??? I have also seen many a new SUV's and mini vans with the TV up front like where the cup holders would be on the Dash??? I guess it's the Insurance woohs that make the World go Round!!! "Money"

Reminds me of a few weeks ago when I was driving to work, I was only a block or two away and one car jumped out right in front of me so I knew I would have to slow down. Only to find that another car just followed the first's lead and jumped out in front too, so I had to slam on my breaks. I was pissed so I got in the other lane and passed the jerk within the block. When I pulled up beside him and threw up my fist the guy was just oblivious talking on his cellphone.

I agree, I have no problem with the states banning talking on the cellphone, even those hands free ones are pretty distracting to a driver.
