Yo Bud: A loooooooooog time ago between my 13th and 17th birthdays I spent my summers in Shipbottom and did a hell of alot of surf fishing off the beaches of Beach Haven. Haven't been back there since 1960, they were some of the best times of my life. Think I'll take a ride to Shipbottom Labor Day week for some soft icecream and who knows mabe Pattie Page will be singing " Old Cape Cod " on the jukebox, ah the memories. JonR

Jon, glad you have good memories of LBI. I spent 2 summers in Ship Bottom also(89-90). I think you'll be suprised how much that shore has stayed the same. Many more expensive houses but still a nice family shore point. Make sure you stop for some clam chowder at the Gateway in Ship Bottom.

I agree 100%. The surroundings make a big difference in the experience. I enjoy sitting on my deck at sunset with a nice CAO. Matter of fact, I think I will do that right now......CYA.
