last five years I've been using distilled water and never had a problem maintaining 70 degrees. noticed a little fur on a couple of my favorite sticks...what's the best approach to keep em fresh?

Use 50/50 pg solution after cleaning humis and your mold probs will disappear. Do a search on propylene glycol and you will get all the info you need.

Found some mold in my humi for the first time. On two of my Petrus torpedoes. I have an Oshkosh passive humidification system in that particular humi. When I was replacing it, after filling, about three weeks ago I accidently spilled some of the water. I soaked it up but it fell on the torpedoes and the mold is probably a result of that. I dumped the cigars (two) and have since been inspecting daily. Haven't had a return of the stuff so far.......

BTW, these were cello OFF cigars.

take the cigars with mold (white mold can be cured, the blue or green is fatal), wipe off the mold, freeze the cigars for 48 hrs. You should be ok. Make sure the mold isn't on the foot of the cigar, if it is, you most likely have mold inside the cigar and I would toss it at that point if I were you

Freezing to cure mold? Thats a new one!
