Like many others here I decided to give out Cupidos when my baby is born (the box will also be a nice keepsake for my little girl). After many failed bidding attempts, I finally got a terrific price here at cbid. With great anticipation I opened the box that arrived today containing my Cupido Capitan Classics (plus many other goodies - it's the shipping thing you know). Limited reserve box 112 out of 7000 my anticipation grew, but as I opened the box my heart sank. It looked like they were covered in mold and even though I know cbid customer service is top notch I was worried about timing. As I looked closer I realized that it wasn't mold at all - these babies had a crystalline coating of plume! I couldn't believe it, I've never had a box arrive already plumed. Inside they were dated 28 Nov 99, so I guess they've been very well aged. I take this as a very good omen.

(my apologies to those of you who are currently trying to win a bid on these)

Yeah, that's the great thing with Cupido's - most of them are very well aged - I had the same experience! Not my favorite cigar, but it really made a difference!

BTW, I never heard about giving them out for a new child - that's a great idea!

Have one box in the coolidor...and my CBid shippment (due 8/28 on my b-day) has another box...and yes, they do have some age on them...

I tell my wife they are for handing out when the new bundle of joy arrives...in february...
