heh, yes appears to be. But there are still VERY large completely black sections in the air force fotos... Those folks got to see the night sky as they never have.

This seems questionable to Me. The reason I say that is because here in Pa. there was no blackout yet this photo seems to have the entire state darkened. All around us yes, but not Pa.

I think you are right to have doubts. I live in Columbus, which is black also in this picture, but was completely unaffected. The closest was 60-70 miles to the north of here...
