That's cool. How often do people see grizzlies in Yellowstone? I have never been there, but maybe soon. I always see Black bears in Yosemite.

I had a black bear tear my backpack to pieces in Yellowstone in 1984.
I have been to Jellystone about 7 times. This is maybe the 3rd grizzly and definitely the closest.
If you want to see Grizz, Alaska is your place.

Actually, After we saw this guy we stopped for a smoke, and a couple said we had just missed a wolf. They are just being re-introduced and hard to spot.

Can't Grizzlies run at like 35 mph? and the fastest human sprinter at about 22? I wouldn't want to be that close to a wild one...

There was a Japanese couple standing next to me. I was going to push one of them down if it charged. ;-P
