It is the only Ginger Ale that is "aged" ... that is because Vernors Ginger Ale extract was still aged in oak casks for four years, before it is ever used to produce the soft drink.

If you want to taste Ginger Ale the way it was meant to taste ... then do whatever you can to locate an sample Vernor's Ginger Ale (distribution is only in limited areas).

Ahhh...the taste of Ginger. Brings back memories from my single daze. X :~)

Vernor's is GROSS!! As I recall it is Ginger Ale aged in oak barrels.

Vernor's is good, as is Seagram's Ginger Ale and Canada Dry.

The more expensive Sprecker's and Blenheim ginger ales are really spicy and nice, but sometimes I need something milder.

As I always say, ginger ale goes great with a Cameroon wrapper! 🙂

If you've spent any time around Detroit then you know about Vernors. When we moved to Florida in 2000 my wife met with the local grocery store manager and asked if they could carry it. Sure enough they do.

What I would like is a 6-pack of Moxie. Can't find it anywhere.

Moxie is foul. That aftertaste.....blech!!!! Hannaford supermarkets in New England carry it.

Now for ginger based sodas, nothing beats the ginger beer made by Kutztown (PA) Bottle Works.

I can't remember the manufacturer, but it's the same company that has Orange and Creme(just like the Cremesicle pops!)and Key Lime pie sodas...they make a Ginger soda that is SPICY!

I forgot about that one earlier.

Vernors SUCKS! It tastes 130 years old... blech!

Canada Dry is good.

There is a Chinese restaurant near here that makes its own from scratch. They have won awards and have had it written up in the local news paper. I have had it and it is FANTASTIC!!!!!

Blenheim's or is it Glenheim's Spicy Ginger Ale and Maker's Mark. Ahh! What a drink! Goes great with whatever you choose to smoke. Twas the signature drink of the Manhattan, a small smokey bar in Athens. Oh the days of tailgating are here upon us again. Go Dawgs! Sic 'em! Woof, Woof, Woof!
