Hey -

I'm kinda new around here, (new with cigars in general, really) and I was a bit curious how trades work. Any help you can give would be great. Thanks.

Sandmax, what you do is post whatever it is that you want or have, then you ask people if they are interested, post your email like this
yourname
at
whatever
dot
com/net

this is to avoid spam...

Then just sit and wait. One more thing to be a true BOTL (brother of the leaf) one must treat others as he wants to be treated, in otherwords be generous and they will be generous to you.

Hope this helps.

Welcome! Ditto what everyone has said. On the subject, it's best to put "F/T" (for trade) and list the cigar(s) your offering and then "ISO" (In search of) for the cigar(s) you want. Just make sure it's a "fair" trade (check retail price or do searches for general opinion) - but "fair" can be very subjective. If your not sure - it never hurts to try - one man's trash is another's treasure. You're off to the right start - trading with all of these great brothers has been more rewarding than I could have ever imagined!

Hey, I won't make you search for an answer to the 'cello on or cello off' question ... I'll give you the answer now ...

It doesn't matter ...

See, some of us say leave it on, some of us say take it off ... I've tried both and found it makes no discernable difference ... EXCEPT

The one thing most of us DO agree on is that if you choose to leave the cello on, it's good to remove it before lighting the cigar ...

Happy trails ...
