This has happened to EVERYONE!!! This is an issue in the cigar world right now. Fakes are flooding the market and most people have no idea what is a fake, and what isn't.

I got a couple just the other day, and guess what, I smoked them anyway, and they weren't bad!?!?!?

Anyway, I would trade with you ANYDAY!!! For any type of smoke!!!

I have been smoking (Seriously) cigars for about 5 years. I know how to spot a fake in every way. However, I recently bought a box of (Fake) Cuban cigars. I inspected them prior to purchase and based upon the triple cap I thought that they were authentic. Neeedless to say, after smoking a few and looking even closer at the box I learned that they were not authentic.

My Point You Ask? Anyone can make a honest mistake and I believe that this is the case.

I would like to thank every one that posted on here and that sent E-mails and Called me about this..I really didn't mean to cause such a fuss I didn't think That me leaving the trade board would be a big deal. I was wrong..I whish only that I had been contacted by the people that made the declaration of thier findings instead of a third party. I would most willingly have made good on the problem..But thats water under the bridge it's a new day and I'm going to do what I feel is right with the last person I traded with who I had included the last of these Sticks with thier trade and hopefully they will believe That this was a honest mistake on my part that will not happen again..(NO more attempts to include or give away any thing That claims to be an ISOM).lol Thank You All You are truely a bunch of GREAT people..TinMan

You were kind enough to do a completely blind trade with me (a total newbie to the board). Neither of us gave any indication of what we'd be sending, yet you sent two ISOM's (I was thrilled whether they're fake or not) as well as a ton of other really quality smokes. Don't let an honest mistake or a schmuck on the other end of a trade, make you think ill of yourself. Your reputation on this board is as solid as the Rock of Gibraltor. You're A#1 in my book.

If the ones you sent me are of the same variety, Please send more. They were great and I have smoked a lot of that variety. As far as fakes go. There are some people who love to say something is fake, just like those people who have to slow down in the car to witness the reckage of an accident.

To the oh so kind gentleman wanting to help me out with those smokes by taking them and gettin rid of them , I'm sorry but they are gone the last ones I had went out on a trade a week ago..Bad thing it that makes 4 boxes that were put out there almost all at 1-4 sticks at a time so alot of them went to alot of people thats what upset me the most was that they were said to be fakes and I had sent so many to so many people..Really made me look bad in my own eye's..But thanks every one for every thing and this will never happen again because I'll never trade or get into the ISOM's again and I end up with some again like I did with these I'll just give the away in my little hick store to these other country boys like me who will never know the difference and besides they'll be free so they wouldn't care any how.lolBut i'll be shure to note that there are a couple of you who are willing to test out all I would happen to get to make sure they are real or fake. That was ISOM tabacco in them smokes. Don't care if they were made illegally or not. There are some good fakes coming out of that island with legit tobac's in them that are better than the real macoy. If it's good, who cares if it comes from the same farm but rolled at diferrent factories, some legit some not. Some will say it hurts the industry. I say anybody who obtains the ingredient and puts them together should be able to put their own label on it. Unfortunatly it doesn't work like that in one country. When I go, I'm going to buy a mix of both.

"godfather" what you were sent came from the same batch.It was out of one of the boxes that I gave away..Not sure which box you got yours out of though.. I think it was the last box..the same one that the last trade I made in here a week ago came from..TinMan

Saw this thread earlier tonight and thought I'd wait until later to respond.

Tinman sent me two of the sticks in question. I've had them tucked away in my stash for awhile so I decided to fish one out and finally give one a try this evening. I greatly enjoyed it on the patio with a few beers while watching the Astros beat the tar out of the Cardinals.
That's what is most important.

Chuck, I certainly do not hold any ill will against you because the cigars were made in a different place than we believed and I hope you continue to remain active on all these boards (including the trades). You're one fine gentleman and I enjoy your presence here.
