This is to all of those who I have traded with On this board. It has been brought to my attention that a certin cigar that I have given out to many people in our trades were FAKES. I normally do not have these Cigars on hand I recieved them in a buy out I did last spring and Had a few of them checked by a some one other than my self and was told they were the good ones so to get rid of them they were given out in trades. I am now told by some that I do respect thier expert knowledge in Cigars that they were Fakes.. So For this reason I have to say I am very sorry and I am willing to make up any trade that I have taken part in that included the Cigars. I did not do this knowing they were fakes (I don't deal in these types of Cigars as a rule)I have also Notified "gorob23" That I am dropping out of the Box Pass. You Have NO idea How bad I feel about this. There is One person that I just Completed a trade with That will be recieving replacement Cigars for what I had sent to begin with. I AM VERY SORRY EVERY ONE....I will not be doing any more trading because of this mistake and how badly it makes me feel. You all have been so Kind and then this happens I can't change what was done but I can change my stupidity by Leaning and I will and then I will come back and trade perhaps.. Again I am So Sorry just E-Mail me with your address and I'll get out some thing to replace those Cigars. I have most of the addys from my trade but not all. I'm sorry TinMan

Don't know what the hell you are talking about and don't care. You seem to have a good rep on the trade board...and your willingness to make up for the mistake of ignorance goes far enough with me.

I gifted some ISOM in a couple trades. I always wondered if they were "Factory" real and didn't have enough experience to tell. Everyone always says that sometimes the real ones are plugged, quality is bad, etc, so I always had my doubts. Sometimes they were good and sometimes they were not.

I had one trader tell me they were fake, and I felt bad, though I don't think he was mad. I decided not to even gift these rascals in the future, and will probably shy away from other ISOM outbounds until I know better.

So in summary, Tinman, I have been in your shoes, and I would never hold this against anyone.

Take it easy, Tin... don't be so hard on yourself... It was an honest mistake.

Hey Tinman who did you send the fake to? If it was me don't worry about it. Please keep on trading. Do this for all the people that you have traded with. Don't go. I guess this proves that Tinman has a heart ( sorry I had to insert that pun).

I even think that Doc and I could agree that we do not want you to go. Finally something we both could agree on.

Chuck, no big deal. This was not done with malicious intent. It is an honest mistake. I will have absolutely no problem continuing to trade with you.

No point in beating yourself up over it. If I received one it was a bonus and not part of the trade so it does not count anyway.

I am fairly new here and haven't done any trading yet but have been reading everyones posts for the past 6 weeks trying to learn as much as I can. When I first found this site I posted a question about certain flavored cigars and TinMan stepped up and offered to send me some different ones to try without asking for anything in return. Since I was new and didn't really known anyone I didn't take him up on his offer because I felt it would be taking advantage of the situation since I didn't have anything to send in return. But ever since that I have felt he would be one I would be more then happy to trade with and still feel that way. Besides who wouldn't mind a fake if it smoked well????

I have been reading posts here for a while and it seems that unless you have yourself listed as an expert in cigars and are charging for "authentic" cigars, then you would be hard pressed to be able to tell the difference.
I certainly would never know if they were or were not authentic. And to be honest, if they smoke good, isn't that the main thing?
I have been fortunate to have received 2 ISOMs and both have been tremendous cigars. Absolutely Mahvolous!! LOL!
Point being, anyone receiving them have to wonder about their authenticity, no matter who they came from. I was reading somewhere about the volume of fakes out there and it was amazing. I have a hard time believing even the experts can tell the difference all the time.

Don't quit trading because of an honest mistake.
I think everyone would feel bad, it shows your integrity. But don't let it get you down.

I'd trade with you anytime, I just don't have all the high grade cigars. Gotta quit smoking them. 🙂

Don't throw in the towel! Maybe they were real, and maybe they weren't. This person could be wrong. That's what makes us humans, not computers. This just shows how much of a better human you are by being able to step up to the plate and admit you made a mistake. That accounts for a lot in my book.

PLease don't stop trading, you were the first person to trade with me and you taught me A LOT. Besides you yourself said you tried to make sure to the best of your (and others) knowledge that they were not fakes before you even sent any out as part of a trade. Don't let this get you down and I for one could not ever match your genersoity or integerty.

tin, I wouldn't worry about it in the least. Even if it is a fake I am not disatisfied with out trade at all. You are a great trader and it was clearly an honest mistake. Besides, as I recollect you handed those out as bonuses and not as a part of the trade agreement.

Okay Guy's after recieving a couple pieces of mail about those Cigars I just figured it was best to walk away because I have other things to worry about when it comes to having people think I am trying to cheat them. And I thought it would be best for my business..
but I guess after a couple of phone calss and one heck of alot of E-Mail I let the bad day I was having do the talking when I made the 1st post... I did not know there was any thing wrong with the smokes I DID check out the Fake pages on them to make sure I had them setting around 3 months before I felt I was safe and then just started handing them out.. I didn't buy them per say they came as an unknow with a close out lot I bought last spring, there was NO mention of them when the deal was made for the Cigars I did buy..SO as far as I was concerned I had nothing invested in them and from every thing I could find and compare them to, (I even found a site with a Fake cut open and it all layed out so I did the same and compared it with there's) and the one I did cut open sure did not compare at all with the fake they were showing.. SO I made a mistake I DO put alot of weight on the say of the people that checked them out a few days ago and I am know that they know what they are talking about.. SO I'm Sorry it won't happen again and any hting that leaves my hands to any one else will be represented only as what ever the lable say's no more no less.. I really have enjoyed being in here and I would never do any thing knowingly to cheat any one in here. Every one has treated me Better than a person has the right to expect.. BUT from now on if I do any more trading with any one I will send my side first and then aftewr they recieve it and are happy they can send thier's. That way I will feel better and I hope they will fell more comfortable also... Thanks for the offer Billy but why don't we wait for a week or so I have a shippment of Bucanero's coming in next week maybe we could work out some kind of trade for a few of them.. I know they are real because I talked with Johnny himself and was accepted by him into the Buc family..LOL Thanks guy's to all of you really, I had NO Idea that this would be such a big deal I'm sorry for causing some turmoil...I am still going to make the 1st trade I did with a extremely generous person right inorder to make Myself feel better because he was so generous with what he sent to me I have most of that package left... Your one of the best traders... I would trade with you anytime. How many ISOMs have you seen? How many fit the standards? I said this in another thread. You can't go by the CA fake websites. Judge by the taste.I've bought a few straight from the shop that wouldn't pass the inspection. And I know for a fact that they were real. Everyone on Cbid that I have traded with has gone above and beyond with their generosity. You included. And I thank you for it.
