I had gotten a CAO Cameroon with one of the All star samplers I bought. Today I decided to smoke it, beings I like most cameroon cigars. While it wasn't a bad cigar and tasted ok, the consturction was awful. The whole end of the cigar fell apart in my mouth, which really irritated me.I've had a few that I used the cutter on the end start to fray, but I used a sharp punch on this one and the "cap" of the cigar fell apart after a bit of smoking.

Has anyone else run into this?
Is it common with this cigar?
Man, I like cameroon cigars, but I don't know what to think about this.

Maybe you just got a bad gar. Of all the cigars I had since I started about 4 years ago, CAO's have been the most consistent in construction and draw. Don't give up just yet. Wait awhile and try some more. 🙂

Never had a bad one. Not that they don't exist, but with CAO they are rare. Try another one, later. I am sure you will really enjoy it.

I had been reading CAO was supposed to be pretty good and the only other CAO I've had was the CAO Brazilia and the Brazilia was good and smoke really well.
I think it bothered me because I was so disappointed in it. I will try one again later. I probably got a bad one and will reserve judgement until I have tried a few more. 🙂

I think this is a bad night for me for cigars.
After being without my Grand Cameroons for a week, my new box showed up and it was a great smoke, then the CAO disappointment and so I went to my Bohemian corojos and grabbed one, wouldn't you know it? It was tight. Never had that problem with the sinclair cigars.
I refused to give up on it and it turned out ok.

I, too, haven't yet had a bad CAO. The L'Anniversaire Cameroon Corona is one of my favorites. I no longer punch or cut. I use a snip and make a single clean cut with it. I just loves the snipper. 🙂

I have yet to have a bad CAO. Their quality is superior! They are one of my go to cigars, always a favorite in my humidors.

I stopped punching cigars due to problems similiar to what you had. I strictly cut them now and have never had a problem when cut properly.

My eyes are rolling over a commment about CAO, it can't be. BDS and I just finished our lunch herf and we both had a CAO (I had an Anniversary Camaroon and I gave BDS an Anniversary Extreme, now thats a meal!!!

BTW they both smoked quiet nicely outside of the office as others had their picnic.

If anyone has any CAO's they need disposing of, the two of use will gladly take them off your hands.

I had the same thing happen recently with a Padron...
The whole cap wanted to come off. I attributed it to a lack of glue. I kept it wet and it stayed put.
