I have found out something about myself that I long suppressed due to embarrassment...

I'm a pu$$Y.

I didn't know it for sure until last night. I got home about 10:30 pm (work nights) and had a couple of hot pockets for dinner. I then began a JdNic Antano Gran Consul. Spicy little ****. Started out punching it but cut it after a few minutes which really opened things up.

It was bold to say the least. I also liked the grainy texture of the wrapper. Different from anything else I remember.

Any way, it did have some burn problems due to a slightly damaged foot (BE CAREFUL WITH HANDLING CIGARS IN A BOX PASS!!) and it tunneled a bit. I did relight it and it recovered as well as anything I've had to relight before.

I finished up (all the while I was watching "Narc" with Ray Liotta and Jason Patric...pretty damn good movie by the way) and a little bit later noticed I felt really weird...that half buzz, half sick you feel after coming off a drunk. I soon realized that even with some food on my stomach, Mr. Antano kicked my ass.

I feel so ashamed. I thought I was grown enough to handle it. Now the only thing to do is take a bit of time, collect myself...recover...and jump back in. No way I'm going to let this one beat me...I will meet him again!!!!

I know exactly how you you feel 🙂 I had the same experience with Mr. JDNA. Even the little Machitos kick my A$$ when I haven't eaten. Your next mission, if you choose to except it, is smoke a JDNA, CAO Extreme, and an Opus in the same night! If you live, let us know how it was 🙂

I haven't had a cigar or a bunch in a row that have kicked my butt, even a line up of 3 Opus X's, plus a few other sticks, one after the other, at a Fuente herf. I did like the buzz that I got....

I got my butt kicked the first time by my now favorite cigar. I won't say the name because it's probably mild by most of your standards and I don't want to feel like even more of a wuss... But it was a fantastic cigar. I hadn't eaten, and when I finally stood up after smoking it... I had to hold on to something, and then I decided it was time to get some grub to fill the void that made me woozy.

All in all, I'd be happy to repeat that experience.

Right now.

And I have just the cigar....

The only cigar to date that's ever kicked my ass was an Arturo Fuente Double Chateau Sungrown. I smoked it on a full-stomach (after a nice meal of calzone) along with a big cafe latte.

I didn't get dizzy, and the taste was awesome, but man, it made me feel a little queasy.

I have one sitting in the humi that I keep looking at. I 'll have to try it this weekend and see how it is.

BTW - Penguin, hell of a nice gesture.

Rocco - you will love it 🙂 And there is a certain place that sells gas has them for around $3.50 each 🙂 I always grab a hand full when I go in there (and usually smoke the Machito while I'm there)

I've loaded up on the machitos as they are a good 20min ass whoopin. I do fire up one of the bigger brothers every now and then to really get stomped. Definitely a keeper.

You should now move on to the La Flor double ligero and compare. I think I posted something on these.
