Well last night I broke down and Smoked a Opus X that I was gifted in my last trade with Our BOTL "Remington" and good friend.. I let it sleep for about a week and then I became so weak I just had to light it up so with a glass of courvoisier and My wife along side me as we watched Survior I sat and enjoyed One of my most favortie Cigars and sipped on the cognac.WOW what an enjoyable hour it was Just GREAT I love those Cigars and the flavor they give up.Hmmmmmmmm

Over the last two years I've smoked Opus X, at least two each in most sizes, purchased all at the same time. I expected the kind of experience TinMan had, because Opus X prices make you expect a cigar taste that's like the difference between bulk-import tequila and blue aguave homemade. Something special. I've had maybe one or two enjoyable smokes. Majority were a disappointment. Yeah, they're strong if you can keep them lit. And tasty, as tasty as a Don Carlos Belicoso and smoother. And pretty. But they burned uneven, never deveoped good smoke volume, were hard to keep lit and had tough draw. I'll never spend that much on an Opus X again.

Truly shows the differences in taste. I can get Opus at Fuente-suggested retail pretty much anytime I want one. They are good, that's for sure. But I have cigars at 1/2 to 1/3 the money that are just as good, to me anyway. And put an Opus next to a Hemingway and I'll take the Hemingway every time.
