I got 5 of these little beauties about 3 months ago. Overwhelmed with eargerness I smoked the 1st 2 right after receiving them. They were strong and harsh. I dug down deep for the patience to let the others sleep and decided to burn one this evening.
Now I understand the reviews this little fireplug gets all the time. In your face rich, full, smooth flavors with a slight spice overtone. My tounge is numb.

I don't have that exact one...I've got the PSD No. 3 (part of the 2001 Limited Edition) resting in my humi.

It's pretty well rested, lol, with over 2 years on it...so I might blaze it up for Super-Premium Sunday this week.

I have three of the PSD no.3 left out of five that I originally aquired ... and one of the PSD no.4 ... and I have a feeling that this weekend is a good enough time as any to bring that number down.

I've been fortunate enough to have snagged a few of both the 3's and 4's. They are some of the finest cigars I've smoked and IMHO their reputation is well deserved. I can't wait to get my hands on the new 2's.

I had a #3 today. 6 mo. rest. I concur with BMW's assessment. One word of advice to Ikon.: Drybox it a couple of days unless you have it at low humidity. My dryer box has been at 68-69% lately. I think 65% would be better. The cigar was a tad wet! Burn was a little "off". Still mighty tasty though

From what I've read the 4s are notorious for having a "sick" period and needing a rest. Knowing the box code is always a plus.

I never had enough patience to rest them for more than 2-3 weeks. Thought they were fantastic with that much rest. Not sure of the date code but more on the way soon. Maybe I'll have to put some away,

The other 4 are resting nicely for special occasions...
