Greetings. I would greatly appreciate a bit of advice concerning what constitutes a "good humidor". I am looking to purchase one on cbid and would love some tips to know what to look for. If anyone know some names of good ones and reasonable prices that would be wonderful as well. Much Thanks.

Out of the 10 humidors that I won here at CB ...

... the one that has been 'near perfect' in every aspect ... has been the 'Sterling 150 Display Humidor'.

It holds a lot of cigars, the seal is perfect, the humidity stays a constant 70%, it displays my 'top shelf' cigars witout opening it ... and it's just a downright good looking humidor.

I haven't heard anyone complain of bad quality from the humis bought on Cigarbid.

My suggestion would be get a big one, at the very least a 40-50 holder, and then maybe a small 10-15 one for travel. You're better off getting a really big one, because trust me, you'll be buying a lot of smokes off here 😉

Go for a wooden one. Slimboli suggested the display one, that has a glass top on it. I'm skeptical about getting this, merely because having cigars in direct light can sometimes sap the flavor out of them if they're kept there for long. But I guess if you only display the cigars you'll smoke in the next few days, then I guess that's alright.

I'd be concerned about the contents of ANY humidor that was kept in direct sunlight ...

I'd have no reservations at all about the Sterling Display unit ... there's one currently available on auction here too ...

I agree about getting a large one ... don't mess around like I did, go for the gusto right away ... I got 3 small (50ct) units before I wised up and got a 300ct El Grande

I am learning the hard way too.
Now I have 2 - 50 count humidors, a Traveldore, and a small 5 stick caddy. I'm waiting for my new JFK 70 I just won on CBid. D@#N, I should of just got the Verona Deluxe in the first place.
