IMO, you're a little high, your humidor that is 🙂 I found that a little lower is better than higher. Many cigars won't smoke correctly at 74%. Between 65% and 70% works best for me. Also, make sure your hydro is calibrated(search old posts for details).

Maduros definitely smoke better at 65-68% humidity. Shoot for 70% (or a little less) and your cigars will thank you.

Did you mean "humanity"? I think I'm close to 100% humanity.

just leave them in the trunk of your car in the summer if you live in the midwest, they'll stay well humidified.

Cruiser, it all depends on where you are. Up here in Alaska you can't follow the rules. The atmosphere up here is alien compared to the rest of the US. In a humidor that holds about 35-50 cigars, I need two humdifiers. Even in my 25 cigar humidor I have two. If you're in the south, hell you probably don't even need a humidifier! lol j/k...by the way...GO RED SOX!
