I sparked this beauty up in between caution flags during the race today!

I chose to punch cut the side of the chisel as this is the recommended way to smoke it. Not sure I am a fan of it. Being a DL i was expecting it to have a little more umpphh to it than it had. All in all it was a really nice smoke but I think I`ll just snip the end off when I smoke the other one that I have!

my pleasure. I hadn't thought of punching just one side, may have to try that. If I don't like it I can always snip the tip. Thanks for the suggestion.

Personally I think that this would have had some more kick to it if I had snipped the end off.. I`ll let ya a`ll know how the second one is!

snip it
IMHO, using the punch on one side was a marketing gimmick as was the shape.

jd1,
I agree, I smoked the other one tonight and WOW what i difference. Much more "smack in the face" by snipping off the end. Actually by snipping it instead of punch`n it it was like a totally different cigar.

Hey, I have had one of them and I also used the center punch type of cut like you did. However, I used my punch on both sides of the Chisel to create a hole that went from front to back, pretty much in the same location as yours. I think it worked great. I was very happy with the draw with the hole the way I made it. Give it a try on the next one.
