Even though I live is Tampa, CIGAR CITY, and I get to Miami about once a month or so I've made more purchases here than I care to admit. But I'm not going to buy anything else here. Thurs night I bid on and won a humidor and a lighter on two auctions and they are to be shipped in the same box but they informed me by phone that they are going to charge the FULL shipping charges on both items, that $7.50 for the humidor and !!! $3.95 !!! for a lighter that with be in the same box. Judy that the humidor isn't part of the program that they have to save their customers the OVERCHARGES when the customer gets more than 1 item shipped at the same time. The result is that I'm paying $3.95 rather than 50 cents to get a lighter packed in a box that has the shipping charges paid for. This company is willing to lose a good a regular repeat customer over $3.45, So I'm bailing out before I have to argue with them over a larger amount.

I guess you didn't read the 'fine print' printed right there on the page. It's that way with all the humidors, because of the weight involved ...

"Shipping charges are $7.50 for the first unit. (Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, APOs/FPOs may be higher). This item requires special shipping considerations. Shipping Savings Program does not apply." Seems to me that you are getting your panites in a buch for the wrong reasons ... get over it! No matter what you spend here ... there are millions out here in cyberworld buying cigars. In reality, we're all small fish ...

the humidors are usually shipped in their own shipping box, protected and sealed. i'll bet the lighter is shipped seperately.

Well first off, you have to read into the site before making any kind of assumptions. Some of the lighters (depending on what you buy) are shipped via ground mail. Due to some federal head hancho dude's law, and like Rick said, the humidors are shipped in their own box. I don't believe that they would be shipped in the same box, sound kinda B.S'ish to me. Anyways, WATCH THEM RED SOX TEAR INTO TORONTO! GO RED SOX!

I can drive around with your "I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore" bumper sticker all day long, it specifically says in humidor description "Savings Program does not apply". Just because your a customer, doesn't mean they after kiss you butt. I am a very satisfied customer that has had mistakes made on past orders. I didn't go falling out of my chair screaming "I'm a victim, I'm a victim!". Jees! What's with that. You got a little girl inside you waiting to come out? Stop listening to your mommy. YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL!. Take your whining, spoiled, "mommy never spanked me", cry if you don't get your way attitude and go pay retail. Adios hermana!

In numb nuts defense these guys make more money on shipping then they do cigars. Trust me, I come from a company who is on UPS top 100 customer list, it a great cash cow. None the less, the customer is always right in my book of proper business. If A guy is pissed over $3.45, C-bid should happily credit him and move on. Just because this guy chose to vent is case here (poorly at that) does not mean we need to play Joan of Arc for the C-bid revolution.

Let me get this straight. The guy made a purchase and the items were shipped exactly as it was stated on the shipping information. Yeah, I can see why he's angry... Open self pity is not a desireable trait.

Like I said, his case was weak. Nontheless, C-Bid should eat the few bucks and manage his expectation for next time. Sometimes the little hits pay larger dividends in the long run.
