I recently lost my dad and just wanted to post a photo of him, his birthday was in October and was thinging about him as I do almost every day. Although he looks stern in the photo, he was a caring and loving father.
He served our country from WWII thru Vietnam, but never much talked about it. I always asked him to write down his experiences for me, but time went by and he never got around to it, and now he's gone.

Sorry for dragging on, just wanted to share.

Thank you to all BOTL, a caring group and an outlet for those that need to release at times.

SP-
Yes, he does look stern, but if we all went by looks...

What he does look like, is someone you can be proud to call dad.

Many blessings to you and your family.

SP...
This would be his official USAF photo. The format is familiar from personal experience having had the privilege to spend 5 years in a cockpit with the Air Force following college. We all tried to look serious.

Where did your Dad spend most of his time? Fast movers or heavies? So sorry he has passed on and hope all is going as well as possible for you buddy.

Thanks all for the kind words, great bunch of people you all are.

Hog, yes, Lt.Col

Turn, He flew P38 Lightings, as you know are no longer around. Then spend most of his service in the O.S.I. in Washington DC at the Pentagon.

You have my empathy. I nearly lost my father to cancer this last year, but he came through. I feel blessed to have him awhile longer.
