I have never smoked any of these and see them advertised in CA and Smoke Mag! Seem to be pretty pricy and they seem to be proud of them! What are they similar to in character and body?

You're right, they are pricey. They're also worth the price tag. I can't liken them to another cigar, they're not mild, but not bold enough to sit you down. The construction is impeccable.

Try one, and you'll see what I mean.

Descriptions are from the Altadis website. Be sure not to confuse the new H. Upmann Reserve with the H.Upmann Chairman's Reserve, which is a totally different cigar.

The cigar with the similar blend to the Trinidad can be found for about $5.00 a stick for rothchilds.

I agree the are one of better smokes on the market,fantastic taste,great burn,firm ash,my local shop has been running a buy two get one free promo wich helps with the price.But well worth the price

No X, I have not. In fact there's only one vendor that appears to carry the Upmann. In the next few days, I hope to find a local that carries them.
