All right guys, I just stopped into the Tinder Box in Bellevue,WA last night to kill an hour before I chair a meeting of YMCA volunteers and had the absolute best cigar I've had in ages, a Diamond Crown Maximus Robusto...Rich billowing sweet and complex tobacco taste which finished as good as it started and really knocked me on my ass by the time I was done. Put it this way... In the past three months I've had ISOM monte #4s, Opus Robustos, 858SGs (still need to try a rosado), and PAM Exclusivos and this Diamond Crown leaves these others in the dust. Its gotta have at least a 92 CA rating when its sampled...

So have any of you tried this beauty and what are your thoughts? And do any of you know where to get these at the best price (email that info to dbgooroo at yahoo dot com)

Haven't had one yet, but last week I passed it up at my local shop. Think I'll go back this weekend and pick it up, now that I read your post... Thanks.

Agree with db on this one. A really nice cigar. I have smoked one and have 5 more resting peacefully. This may prompt me to take another one to the dance!

A fine cigar yes,, I have smoked a few.
However, I do prefer for a full bodied smoke either the Ashton VSG or Opus X.
If you can not get either of those 2 I place the Maximus in 3rd place.
Not a bad palce to be just not the top.
Same price points as the VSG or Opus X is not higher in my experience.

DBGuru is on target on this one. After my first DCMax Robusto I said it was the first time I ever paid ten bucks for a cigar and didn't think I'd been had. Taste is a private matter, but to me it leaves VSG and Opus X in the dust. YMMV.
