I lit up a Fresh Rolled Wheel tonight and nothin. It was so bland. When I first bought these, I was surprised, pretty good taste. That was 8 mo ago. Then 3 months later, bland and now 8 mo later bland, no taste.

I finally put it out and lit up mt first Killer Cameroon. Nat bad, it started out pretty flavorfull, but it was now died down after a 3rd. Wait a minute it's starting to come back.

That is exactly why I smoke the fresh stuff - fresh. The aging processes are different with each cigar. Most people say that a Premium cigar reaches its potential between 3 to 5 years.

In addition to the aging our tastes changes as our palletes become more refined.

That is why my favorites from 3 years ago taste like cardboard to me now...Like the Macs.

From day 1 I liked full body strong smokes. I only smoked cubans for the first 3 years. That smoke tasted way different 8 mo ago and smelled good too. The one I smoked yesterday had no aroma. I do agree that my tastes have changed a little over the years though. Macanudo Hyde Park was my first non-Cuban 3 years ago. It tasted like cardboard.

I had the wheels in small spanish cedar boxes in my coolidor, 5 to a box. I have noticed a few other smokes in my cooli loose their flavor profile. Maybe some cigars just don't age well. I've only been storing now for about 3 years and the majority of my stock for the past 18 mo, so I'm just experiencing the dissapointment of some cigars.

Any one else can shed some light?
