Check out hte "Prices are getting Odd" post, Slimboli gives pretty good reasons for the higher prices. The other is obviously people don't do their homework when bidding on smokes to know what prices are being asked for on other sites.

Overbidding might be genetics. I think its a mutated bidding gene that is found in 1% of the male population. Its a single nucleotide polymorphism in chromosome 6 which causes this eretic behavior.

I too have been known to overbid...Once in a while. It seems that I can save shipping if I order more stuff at once.

I made an entry mistake on an item a couple of months ago while talking on the phone at the same time. Realized later I had bid at least $15 more than CI price. I was appalled that I would be the topic of derisive comments by this esteemed group.

Imagine my vast relief to discover the morning after the bid had closed that someone had outbid me by $10!

Thank you all, I guess that some people just have to win the bid no matter what the price!

Who among us has not just decided by golly I am going to get this lot. I know I have at least twice. But that is just part of it. I try and do my homework. In fact if my 9 year old son did his the way I do mine he would be on the honor role. I feel comfortable with my bids ( other than when I go after the top end such as the Gurkha XX's but even then I know I got a good deal). But I say let them bid in the long it helps us all. The company makes money and that keeps the good smokes coming. If they think they got a good deal then they did. God bless them.
