not a very good picture but you get the idea. Nice 200 pounder. He had been in a pretty good fight. Missing two tines some hair and had puncture wounds in his back. 60 yards with a slug. Shot an antlerless 1.5 hours later. A 100 pound buck.

Nice! I can't hunt this year. My stress level is off the scale this week because I'M SUPPOSED TO BE SITTING IN THE WOODS!! I envy you Brother.(Sigh).

Looks like he's missing more than 2 tines and some hair.

Tony, Great Lookin Deer Bro... we had a Drought on deer in So. Illinois this past weekend... I ran a couple Doe's up past the Wife in her Blind.. couple minutes later I heard 2 shots go off.. I smiled as I headed on back to my area... then 3 1/2 hrs later when I radioed her to see if she was ready for some lunch.. I asked her how things were going... she radioed back and said I seen a couple Doe's earlier I said yea and? Well I let them go because I was waiting on that Big Buck... Later heading to Lunch I pulled my Tags out and said look here Honey... one is "Antlerless Only" and the other is "Either Sex"... meaning you get the Doe out of the way Early.. Thus we have meat in the freezer.. then you have the Option to Wait out that Big Buck or maybe it being the last day last Hour and no luck seeing the Nocturnal Buck... You Drop another Doe.. thus Filling Both...Tags and the Freezer...

So I was Informed.. she's getting her Buck First.. LMAO!!!!!!!

Sunday Night... her Dad said OK Kids... next season.. the Rule is "Kill Anything With Hair" So with that Said... we should do ok filling the freezer the second season in two week's!!!! But I drew blanks all weekend... them two Doe's were the only Deer I seen all weekend.. Way to Windy and the Warm Weather did not help much in our Area... I did However knock down a couple Cigars while in the Stand... I'll post as soon as the pics are processed LMAO!!!!!

Plenty of the stupid things in Kentucky. In fact, so many that the state highway people can't keep up with the number of car and truck kills. Even the nature preserve, Bernheim Forest has an annual lottery to benefit a charity. Each hunter can kill TWO there - donating one to Hunters for the Hungry and keeping the other one - plus what you can kill with the State tag. PLEASE COME TO KENTUCKY AND HELP RID US OF THESE VERMIN!

I saw a doe at 0640.

I shot the buck at 0642.

The next deer I saw was 2 antlerless at 0815.

Shot 1 at 0820.

It was very warm we had to get them checked in,skinned

quartered and in the fridge ASAP. We butcher them ourselves.

Hog, what county are you hunting in? I hunt Bond just North of Mulberry Grove.
