Nice pic! I was buying a Powerball ticket at a gas station BEHIND the Capitol the other day. What a sad area. You'd think urban renewal would have reached DC!

Thanks all. To answer your question hog, I'm in VA just outside DC. Best of both worlds, get to enjoy DC but NOT live in it. Haha.
And you bought gas behind (to the East) of the Capitol?! Wow, not a real great area at all. Urban renewal in DC?! They do try sometimes I guess.

Oops, so you were buying lottery tickets there, my fault! I know, attention to detail... I guess taking a chance for the lottery isn't that bad a deal.

Took a shot very similar to that years ago when I lived down there. Except the cranes were up during the renovation. I always thought DC looked the best at night. Where are you? Crystal City, Arlington, Alexandria, or do you live "outside the beltway?"

Nice pic. I spent my short lived military career in DC working at the Navy Yard, another real nice area. It is definitely cool at night.

Dz130: I agree, DC is a great city, especially at night. All the buildings look really good all lit up. I'm in VA, as you said outside the Beltway. I live near Dulles Airport.

Tonester666: Ah yes, the Navy Yard... A friend of mine worked there recently, on his first day he was 'robbed'. The local scum pulled a screwdriver and fortunately my friend was authorized to carry his Glock. Needless to say screwdriver man gave up REAL fast!! DC can really be nice, if you know which places NOT to go into!
