It's freezing here in Ohio, and I ain't allowed to smoke in the house. What are your favorite cold weather cigars, something that doesn't take too long to smoke 🙂

Winter is a great time for the minis.

Cohiba Pequenos
Hoyo Demi-Tasse
Padron mini's (I forget the exact name of these)

are my favorites in the true mini size. They all smoke more like a big cigar than you would think is possible.

I've liked anything I've tried by Ashton. I also like the Pico Pyramides. They aren't the greatest, but well worth a go when you need a fast smoke, and not too expensive either.

Clive you sent me some of those Picos, the first one I wasn't too keen on, but the two I had since then have been very tasty, they make a nice smoke while I'm feeding the animals, love that honey scent too 🙂

Tonester its 16 degrees here in nw ohio right now, tonight I smoked a CAO maddie, very tasty with a glass of butterscotch schnapps 🙂 But its too damn cold. Been back inside for an hour and haven't got warmed up yet.

Thanks for the other suggestions folks 🙂

One of my very first cigars was a Macanudo Ascot and I still like them for a quick smoke. Heck, I'd send you some but I smoked them all. 😞 no, wait, make that 🙂

At 26 I smoke outside at 16 it is in the garage. I left for work the other day at 7 degrees with a WC - that's wind chill for you Texans - of -5. I rolled the window half way down and enjoyed a DD Buc torp.

Just giving you a hard time fudge. I work with quite a few guys from Ohio THE OSU my butt. What area you from?

Forget the minis. I change to robustos and make sure that they are reasonable. I.E. Leon Jiminez mad, ERDB robusto oscuro hell even Fuente short short stories or VSG enchantments for a treat. I can hang for 35 Min. Cold is only mind over matter if you don't mind it doesn't matter. LOL

34 here in NC, so we're not faring better. then again, the wife lets me smoke in my den. 🙂 and yes, you're all invited.

hey, fudge, if you can do so where you live, now's the time to set up a little fire pit (just put some rocks or bricks in a circle), throw some wood on it and drag a lawn chair out by the fire. smoke any damn thing you want then!

btw, if anyone's up to traveling to wilmington, NC for a campfire herf next month, get in touch!

as for smaller cigars, well, i'd suggest a 2-2 fonseca. little bitty cigar that you will not find disappointing in flavor at all. the first 2 fonsecas i smoked were these, and i still prefer them actually.

Tonester remember I'm a Wisconsin boy as well. I get back enough in the winter months to experience smoking in the cold. Now granted I don't have to spend 3 months a year in freezing weather which would get old. You guys also have much less humidity up there which I find to be more defensible. When you got 60% humidity and its 32 degrees out it's butt ass cool. Actually I have a one two cold weather smoking punch. AF short story and a 102 degree hot tub. Works everytime.

Here in Jersey this morning it is presently 1 deg. That is too cold for any cigar. In normal winter temps when it is somewhere near freezing I use the opportunity to burn off my accumulated cheap cigars, not caring if I toss it when it is only partially smoked.

I have an outdoor fireplace. They're everywhere now and pretty cheap. Build a big fire and enjoy a cold night, a real smoke and a good glass of scotch. Hell with the weather.
