Hey y'all! Newbie here -- name is Jim Tynan out of Pike Road, AL. Just came across this site and must say -- very cool! Bargains seem to be as good as the clientele!!! Been puffin on 'gars since '94 when I retired from the Air Force. A good friend gifted me then with a box of Honduran Zino Mouton Cadet #3s and I've been smilin' and smokin' ever since! Favorite smokes these days are some Romeo y Julieta Cedros Deluxe #1s I got from the big island, Macanudo Crystals and Henry Clays. Really like those Cuesta Ray Centenarios too! "Won" a five-pack tonight of the Indian Tabac Maduro Tomahawks and can't wait to fire one of those babies up! Anyhow, looking forward to keeping my humidor stocked with good deals from CBID and reading the great comments you folks are posting in the forum here! Enjoy!!!

welcome, kayakbound. i'm new here as well (thanks, zed, for the tip on this place; traders out there, zed's good people) and also relatively new to the world of cee-gars. love this site, though, both for the deals and for the crew on the boards here.

just gotta say, too, thank you for serving your country. made a promise to my dad (usmc wwII/pacific) to thank a vet every time i met one, so thank you, sir! *salute* never was able to serve (bone problem in my foot); worked as a cop, but it's just not the same.

anyway, welcome to cbid. and do yourself a favor, and try a toraño cigar. cbid's had some excellent deals on them here lately. cigar afficianado just rated the toraño 1916 cameroon a "90." hoo-ha!

Welcome to the asylem, Kayak.

I'm a canoe man myself. Got an Old Town Canadienne 17 footer that flat hauls a$$. Grew up with a Grumman that saw many a trout. Like to have another for utility.

Bid low, let some go by.

Keep CI's site open for comparison.

Have fun!

Appreciate the welcoming posts, folks. Suspect I'm going to enjoy these here CBid visits! Great cigar deals and a brotherhood to boot. Now that's what the good life is all about, eh!

Cheers!

Jim

BTW sketcha, done a bit of canoeing over the years myself, but my passion is sea kayaking and a bit of whitewater here and there. Own a couple of fiberglass 18-footers and a small Dagger payboat. Keeps me out of trouble, you know!!! ]]grin[[

Welcome Kayak. Good to hear from you. Think you'll love it here as much as I do. I'm a little ways up the road from you in Decatur, AL (getting up toward the Tennessee line). Had 32 years total military service this month (01/04) and am getting ready to hang up the gloves in 02/04 (retirement). Enjoy your stay and learn from the combined wisdom on this board like I did.
