I tried the famous "******" Cut as discussed on the Joya de Nic thread on a couple of Bauza Pyramids at found it to work quite nicely! This is cutting the cigar at an angle, Cavallo says he does this on all pyramids and belicoso cigars! Well it works quite well and enhances the draw!

You know what, I do this too. I never heard about it - I just instinctively did it figuring it would inhance the draw and the way the smoke hits the palate. Man, guess I missed my chance to coin my own cut...

I had seen the name on a competitors website. They have a whole page talking about most aspects of cutting a cigar... it's in the 'cigar university' section.

yeah, this is something i read about elsewhere, too -- so no credit for me; all i did was pass along the info!

i heard about it first on an "all about cigars" kind of site (or two or three), and then the toraño-smoking guys were singing the praises of this cut, and i gave it a try. really worked well!

I turn it sideways and call it a vagina cut. It seems to work better for me.

It is named after the well known JC Newman salesman Hollywood Joe Dickman who came up with the ****** cut many years ago.

My name is Richard and I have my own "******" cut. I use a v-cutter when smoking Belicosas, Pyramids or Torpedos and "snip" the end several times with my V-cutter. With almost all the cigars is gives a perfect draw but makes a very small hole at the end. Try it... you'll like it!!!
