Is there a specific name for the Fuente Hemingway that has the combination of the two different wrappers? Thanks.

... also the 'In Between The Lines' (three different wrappers) ...

... only about 20 or so ever made ... and have sold at auction for up to $750 for a single cigar!

I had the oppurtunity to purchase a whole box of BTL's from my local store for $475.00. I can kick myself in th A$$ for not buying them. The guy he sold them to auctioned them for over $1,200.00 If I had only known what the value of them were.

albama --- the MSRP on a box of BLT's is only around $325, or $13 a cigar.

The markup you saw them at is not uncommon (and really not that bad), especially noting the rariety of said cigar. Many retailers will gouge their customers, because they know they can get it.

But, for someone to buy a box for the soul purpose of putting them up for auction, just to make a huge profit, to me, is highly unethical, IMHO ...

I'm not against any profiteers who grab an opportunity to make some money off ANY commodity ... it's the capitalistic way.

But to take advantage of fellow cigars smokers, with the intentions of making a profit off their fellow BOTL, IMHO ... is something that I consider ... 'just plain wrong'.

If that was YOUR intention ... and I hate to say this, but I'm glad you didn't buy them. Nothing personal against you ... I just think it's appalling that there are cigar smokers out there who would purposely take advantage of their fellow 'herfers' like that.

Pretty 'low-class' ...

Slim, I had "NO" intentions of buying and reselling these cigars. I am fairly new to cigars and thought that the guy was trying to gouge me on the price. After I found out what the cigars were worth I wanted to purchase them for myself. So I contacted the owner and he told me he sold them to someone who put them up for auction.

I would in no shape, form, or fashion try to gouge anyone on this board or any other board. I just wished I had bought them for myself to share with other BOTL.

I agree and dissagree with you slim. If I purchase something for cheap and start an auction, at lest say bellow what I paid for the item, and the item actually surpasess to 500% its value, is that gouging? I don't belive so, if someone is prepared to pay 500% the value of something, well let them, just like people buy $400K Bentley, people should be allowed to purchase anything at any price you like to pay
