I picked up a couple of these today Churchills. Anyone tried them yet? What did you think?

tried the robusto Puro Sol....could not keep it lit. Once again, Ashton fails to impress...

I have one aging, and probably should smoke it....but with as many average-negative reviews as I have heard(esp. construction, burn), I am not gonna rush that great lookin little belicoso. Obviously not many people have had their for more than 2-4 months, so this could be Great after a year. Who knows?

kornazoo -I'll take those horrible Ashtons off your hands...VSG is my #1 cigar right now...

I think it's hard to judge a cigar until you've had two - and at least one should have more than a few weeks humi time.

a friend gifted "us" (heh) with a box of ashton classic 898s for our wedding. 🙂 very nice smoke; just a little salty for my taste, but each one was right on in terms of construction and burn. ashton's rather well-known for its consistency between sticks. sorry you had a bad experience, k, but give it another chance. any cigar can be bad once.

as for the puro sol, haven't tried it or the VSG yet, but i'd love to hear what others think of both!

Right on al'thor. The VSG is one of the best sticks out there IMO, and I've got two boxes of the robustos in the coolidor. YUM!
