That be South Dakota..We got more snow the last week than any one else around us in our state. Got over 28" in about 8 days..Dang it be cold!!!!! Tin

We have a friend visiting from Idaho. We asked if she was sure she wanted to sleep in the uninsulated back room. "Why, how cold is it going to be back there?" "Around 45," I said. She laughed. "That's our daytime high!"

Glad I live in Texas, coldest day yet was just under 30 for a few hours.

(Thats not to say I didn't think that day was cold as hell.)

yeah, after living in the frozen yankee tundra of boston, a dip down to -10 or -15 was about the time i'd put on a hat and wear my gloves.

now that i've joined the south and have had 3 years to acclimate, if it gets down to about +30 outside, i can wrap up with every bit of winter clothing i have and still be a shivering, teeth-chattering wreck!

Its weird how quickly we can change. Used to live in montana, would have months where it would be under 0 almost every day and would have snow on the ground 9 months out of the year. Id walk the three blocks back from basketball practice in december in my shorts and t-shirt.

Now im in Illinois and weve had like three weeks of weather that hasn't hit above freezing. Average temp of around 15ish and around 5ish with windchill. Go outside in long sleeve shirt or sweater, coat, gloves, hat, scarf and still usually end up cutting my smoke short.
