only way to know for sure is to carefully reacclimatize them, and fire one up!

Yea but you need to do it slowly. A week in the refrigerator and thne a week in the bottom of you humidor then a week in the middle and yet another week on the top shelf. Your best bet is to leave them in the box so as to not bust them up too much.

Good Luck...

yeah - what pat said. I did this with a Cohiba robusto and a montecriso #2. They had been out in a dry box for about a year. I first put them in a dry box w/ some other humidified cigars, then in a humidor as far away from the credo as possible, then after a few weeks moved it closer and then closer again - it took about 1.5 or 2 months until I thought they felt perfect

I would eliminate the refrigerator part,as the refer would dry them out further. X

I would not count on them being as good as if they were kept in good condition to begin with. The essential oils in a cigar need to be there. It's not like these oils can lose all moisture and then you just rehumidify and the oils are magically there again. Once the oils are gone, you might rehumidify but in my experience, the cigar was not the same. Definitely no chance of ploom forming. But that's my own experience. If you get these in smoking condition, then post your findings. Good luck.

What jd said. Definetly worth a try but expect the taste to be very bland compared to a well cared for Monte.
