TOP THIS TRADE! (TTT for short)
1. The first trader sends a package out to a buddy.
2. The recipient has to try and top it by sending a nicer package back to the first guy!
3. The second trader then starts a trade with a new guy by asking: "WHO WANTS TO TOP THIS TRADE"? He gets the new traders snailer, sends him a package and the process starts all over again.
It would be just like PIF except you would get a package back from the guy who answers your question:
"WHO WANTS TO TOP THIS TRADE?"
The draw back would be that the trader who answers the question would have to wait for the package to arrive so that he can TOP the contents. "Topping the trade" could be by either quality or number of gars.

Of course the first guy could start the trading by sending out some real DOG ROCKETS, which wouldn't be fair, so that would have to be one of the rules.... decent gars only..... no BAD FROGS, SWISHERS etc. It should probably be limited to 1 win in a 24 hour period just so it doesn't get too hairy.

Another idea (I think this one's better) would be:
"THE BOOMARANG TRADE!!"

Let me know if "I'm full of it" or if this sounds like a workable idea. I'd be willing to start it.

Personally....I think this is a pretty good idea. But the main question would be if the majority here thinks it would be something that would take off.

Thanks for the input guys.
In reality most of the BOTL do this anyway!! You send a nice package to a buddy and he retaliates by bombing you back. Not a new idea but I think it would be fun if it was an actual game.
I'll let this go for a few days to collect more comments and we'll see what happens.

It kind of looks like KNOF already did start it!!!

I propose the following rules:

1. The question only gets asked once each day. Anything after midnight qualifies as the next day. In fairness to the BOTL on the east coast lets make that Eastern time.

2. Whoever asks the question (1st trader) has to send some decent gars to the lucky guy who answers (2nd trader). Lets say 5 gars.

3. The 2nd trader sends a nicer package back to the first trader ( kind of a boomerang effect). It can be either higher quality gars or more than 5 to qualify.

4. If the 1st trader wants to communicate what he is sending that's OK. In this case the 2nd trader would not have to wait until he receives the package and would be able to decide what he will send to "TOP THE TRADE." (I like the SURPRISE effect myself!!)

5. The 2nd trader then gets to ask the question, 1 day after he has answered it, and the process starts all over again. Please don't make the rest of us wait until you receive your package..... ask the question the following day.

6. You can win as many times as you want during the week (if you're fast on the draw) but again there is only 1 win per day.

7. Now the tough part..... how do you know if you are sending nicer cigars than the ones you are receiving? What you may consider to be a "top notch cigar" may not exactly blow the next guys socks off.... we all have different tastes. Some of us have been enjoying cigars for a number of years and know through experience which brands are consistently good. When in doubt ask any of the brothers or post a question on the "Cigars and Related" board.

I thing that about covers it. Any more "RULES" would just complicate things too much.

You need to ask the question some time on Wednesday to keep the ball rolling. SOMEONE will answer and then he gets to ask on Thursday...... and so on..... and so on!!
