just read this and personally thought it was a pretty damned fair thing for the judge to order:

Jennifer Dawn Langston, 27, of Cabot, Penn., admits she had been drinking and was talking on the phone while driving when she crashed and killed a man and left his wife in a permanent coma. As a condition of her probation, she is required to keep photos of the couple in her wallet at all times. But Langston balked at the picture Glenn Clark's family provided her: it shows him lying dead in his coffin.

Tough, says Butler County Judge George Hancher; she must carry the photo "as provided" by the family.

"That's where she put him," said Clark's mother. "It's what I don't want her to forget."

Mark Bergstrom, executive director of the Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing, says "Certain cases just seem to cry out" for such "shaming," but such a sentence is rare in the state.

I think that judge should be jailed and forced to carry a picture of all the people's rights he has violated.

Im serious, this is totally wrong and an abuse of power, I only can hope that this judge be forced into the same jail as he imprisoned so many others wrongfully and become a victim of an unfair trial himself, by the people that had their rights violated and lives destroyed.

I would like to see him be put into a small jail cell and the poor **** that was in the cell before him be let free, never mind his crimes, and let that poor soul take the judges seat serving that state. And maybe for once somebody could have a fair trial.

Goatman you have to get back on your meds. You don't like the sentence but have no proof the trail wan't fair. What "rights" were violated? The proof that Pennsylvainia isn't a Nazi state will be when you visit and they don't kill you. That's what the Nazis did to the mentally challanged you know.

While the internet can provide for the free exchange of ideas it sadly offers those with no ideas the same ability.

I'm with 65gtoman. I'm all for a state that is pro drinking and driving. And if you happen to be killed by a drunk driver in that state, well then maybe you shouldn't have been on the road.

65gtoman is correct, sort of, the judge should have given her jail time not probation. Second instead of a photograph, the image should be tattooed on her right hand, left if a lefty, so she can see it every time she might reaches for a drink or worse yet a set of keys.

This is another case of the perpetrator becoming the victim. If you drink and drive, you are an idiot and deserve what you get.

So what part of this is unfair? And as she got PROBATION, how do you conclude he imprisons people wrongly? I just wonder what it takes for him to sentence someone to jail time!

I am very well acquainted with the Criminal Justice system in this country and how it compares to other. We do not have a perfect system, it is set up to give the accused every benefit, and the prosecution every disadvantage yet we are still able to convince 12 people to find a person guilty of a crime.

my thoughts: either you are being sarcastic, you're playing devil's advocate, or you did a complete turn-around in your political thoughts. which is it? not for me to say -- like anyone else, i can only guess.

the LSD remark was about what you yourself had posted numerous times about how great acid trips are. when i read some of your posts, they do seem to be on par with someone who is "under the influence." again, perhaps the joke's on us. i haven't the foggiest what you're all about.

Of course I smoke cigars, but I don’t care too much for reading and posting on the cigar board, I answered this before a few times, I only smoke one type of cigar and I don’t care to trade with anyone, it always sounded like a pain in the ass to me.
