I know this subject has been covered before but seldom has a cigar actually exceeded my expectations. FINALLY won a box of Zs last week and fired one up as soon as it got off the truck yesterday. It is one of the better cigars I have ever smoked, medium bodied with lots of flavor, and the burn was perfect, down to the nub. ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. Might be my favorite Buc.

and that's what makes the cigar world go around...after being a strong fan of the Full Sails and Peg Legs - I jumped on an offer from another BOTL and bought a sealed box of Buc Zs. I felt very let down by the smoking experience of this stick --while the construction, look and feel of the cigar were outstanding - I found the blend used in the "Z" very flat and lacking in that solid flavor that the Full Sails deliver every time.
In fact - I'll see you on the trades forum regarding the remainder of the box as these are just not to my taste.

I'm letting mine sit until this summer. Yum!

These are seriously good (ARRRggggghhhh). One should definitely NOT expect something like the Full Sail or Texas Star...this is definitely a medium gar - very smooth, creamy and a little sweet. I love them for a change of pace. I've never found them to be 'flat' I think they have plenty of flavor - it doesn't kick you in the teeth - it's a gar that you need to pay some attention to IMHO

The pre-release sample I had was exquisite. The Z's from a box I bought were not as good. They had a looser fill and the flavor was not quite there as in the sample. All in all a decent mild+ smoke. X

Each has their own tastes. I found the Z mild but tasty, but my all time fav is still an nicely aged Full Sail; so much so, two boxes are resting and I try to limit myself to 2 a month from the open box with about six left...arrr.

I smoked a Bucanero once

I've found that the full sails and the salsas are the only two I like. Boy do I like them.

The Buc classic maddies also ploom out very nicely. Fulls Sails and maddies for me! arrr...
Going to let the few Zs I have rest until the end of the year to see what happens...
