City Council members are contemplating a crackdown on smoking that would be tougher than any in the country: They may banish smokers from all public parks.They're worried about a few wisps of second-hand smoke compared to the filthy L.A. air?

I've been to LA and drove north oughta there. You can see where the smog ends. Postulating on the part of politicians is incredible.

I live here, but a soon as my lease is up on my shop (in May)I am selling the house and moving back east (Michigan). I hate here in the peoples republic of California!!!! cj

I have another solution; all you CA residents send me your cigars since you can't smoke them anymore. 🙂

better yet start smudge pots of all your bad cigars on all street corners. They want second hand smoke, give it to em. I gotta admit though if that dosen't work send all your cigars to me or hedge(I'll share brother)

Meanie, the smog is not so bad anymore, but it certainly isn't as a result of taking it out on smokers. California is too stocked with fruits and nuts, such as Film Director, Civic Leader, Nut Rob Reiner to name on the biggest do gooder jerks who led the anti smoking and caused many great resturants to have to either shut down or retool their entire set up because of smoking in public and "second hand smoke" all in the name of Public Health and Children's welfare! Bah, this place only has the weather and a few great golf courses going for it....that is all! I have been here for 20 years and cannot escape! Help! Charlie
