I have a couple as well, but haven't gotten around to smoke one yet. Here is some info though...

Handmade in Esteli, Nicaragua

Introduced in 2002, these smokes are the creation of the Tabacalera Perdomo, saluting "ISOM" - the "Island of South Miami". They're full-bodied and offered in all-cedar boxes. These smokes are made with a blend using the recently smuggled Havana 98 Criolla seed wrapper blended with a very spicy select filler leaf making the ISOM a terrific cigar with a peppery, robust flavor.

well, it SOUNDS delicious anyway. lol wonder what's up with the "isom" term being used on the band -- whether it's a salute (i hope) or an attempt to make folks think that it is an actual habano. :/

give us a review if/when you smoke this one?

That's funny, I was just at one of my local shops, and they have some grab bag type stuff. In one of the bags is this same perdomo ISOM....I was wondering as well....may have to pick that bag up!

I've heard some not so good things about them, but that was from some diehard Perdomo haters. I haven't heard anything around here though. I've been curious, so smoke 'em and let us know what you think. Perdomo likes to play the name game (Genuine Counterfeit/PreEmbargo G C, etc.).

I've smoked a couple. Thought they were um....awful. I found them to be "perfumy". The best anology I could come up with while I was smoking it was it reminded me of walking thru the Macy's fragrance department. (Place squid warning here) But this is coming from someone who really isnt a fan of anything in the Perdomo line

Aw, come on guys. They aren't that bad. I've had a few, and they were good. A nice bar or yard smoke.

No worries Beat. I'm no Perdomo ho, just trying to stay objective. Are they similar to the GCCs, or a diferent bird altogether?

I like the Perdomo ISOM. It is their attempt at capturing the ISOM flavor. Although I do not think it is close. It is a peppery smoke absolutely no perfume smell or tatse what so ever. Don't know what you had that tasted that way.

George I'll send you another.

bassdude is right.

I just smoked the Torp last week, and it reminded me of the regular Perdomo's that I've smoked. It wasn't overwhelming, very similar to the regular Perdomo cigars.
