I grew up in CA. I was the only kid in my neighborhood to play hockey. They used to give me a hard time when I walked out to the car wearing a hockey sweater in September.

(they would only give me a hard time once....there is no "high sticking or cross checking" rule on the sidewalk.)

rayder1 where did you play at i coached and played in visalia coached a state champ squirt team there in 82 some great youth players from there for sure.

Thanks for the memories Rayder I remember skating at that ice rink. I almost forgot about it until you just mentioned it.

wow!! that is amazing!!! I've been playing hockey since i was a kid, and in 5th grade I read a book about Wayne Gretzky that said his dad would build a rink in their backyard every winter...but i'm sure it never looked like this!
Did you order the sideboards, or did you build all of that?? wow....I can't figure out how you did all of that. very nice
