... hype.

Oh sure, many are really good cigars ... but there are many 'domestics' that I think are far superior in quality, taste and construction ...

... but that's just my 2¢

Imagine they outlaw your favorite beer, soda, whatever, doesn’t make it any better than what you thought before but now that people can’t have them everybody wants them. People that have never had them before want to try them. There are good ISOMs and bad ones; you should try one to see what you think. After smoking a few I have to say only one of them rates in my top 5 of all time. TO MAKE A LONG ANSWER SHORT HYPE!!!I feel this same way of OPUS Supposed low supply so everyone wants one, I still say try one.

I will always smoke some of both. The good ones are out of sight over the top. As with any cigars some are just Hype. They are different make no mistake. You cannot get much better than a 1964 PAM I don't care were the cigar is made but a H. Hupman Mag 46 ISOM cost less if you can get one and it will blow your doors off for less money. Is it better I don't know both are outstanding. For the money I don't think you can beat the Torano line. To each as they say.

I've tried a few. Some were great, most were good, just like their Dominican and Honduran cousins.

What sets Habanos apart is the unique taste profile they offer. Some domestic cigars come close to the taste but never exactly. If you happen to enjoy the Habano taste, you will seek them, pay the price and takes your chances. X

A matter of opinion.

Some people (those who own cigar shops in the US or cigar sites) will try to convince you that they are nothing but hype, blah, blah, blah... because they have a vested interest in all the non-cubans because that is all they can sell. These are the same people who will clear their shelves to make room for those "over-hyped" smokes as soon as the embargo is lifted.

I happen to enjoy them. When I can get them.

I know this is a newb question but since they are illegal where can you get them from?

I would love to try a couple just to try them...

nacona...

sources cannot be posted due to the forum rules.

if you leave your e-mail address, some people will e-mail you with more information. however, i made a similar request recently and received some criticism.

some people don't think its appopriate to ask for that information on this board even if you leave your e-mail address. be prepared for some negative feedback if you choose to ask and leave your address. good luck in your search.
