I have smoked two of these cigars now and have had a problem with both. The first cigar had a very firm draw and little smoke but the flavor was spicy and peppery. The second cigar was packed with flavor from the start with a nice easy draw and I said to myself "Self I think I'm going to like these." Then it happened, the wrapper split. Now here I am smoking a clown cigar but I won't give it up. I smoked it beyond the split and it turned out to be a good cigar, spicy and very flavorful. So here is my dilemma; I am not a frequent smoker of Carlos Torano cigars so should I continue to try to find a good smoking cigar from Torano or do they all have burn and construction problems..............

Yes. Try picking up some from a different source, and waiting until warmer weather. I've never had a problem like that with Torano's.

If you like them, by all means give them another chance.

stickbow: toraño smokes are reknowned for their excellent construction. my guess is that the cigars were not properly humidified before smoking. how long did you let them rest after they arrived, and at what rh% do you keep your cigars?

drop me a line if you will: BBELTRISI at ec.rr.com

I have to say I have never had a problem with a Torano product. As Tony said they are known for good conruction and I would agree about the humidification. I say do not get disappointed and find a different source and/or be sure to give them some time in the box

The Sig's are the ones what got me hooked on the Torano cigars. Try the Perfecto if you haven't, they're great.

Hmmmmm........never had a problem with a torano like described. I agree the Signature has a somewhat delicate wrapper, but I'm going to have to go with maybe RH as the culprit. I've smoked lots of them without a problem, although I do have to be a bit careful with the punch as I've been sloppy and messed up the cap on a couple of them........but that was my fault....not the cigar.

IMO they are an excellent cigar. Would recommend not giving up on them at this point.........Just my thoughts....

I've enjoyed the Toraño Sigs since they first came on the market and have never once experienced even a hint of the problems you describe ... additionally, I know a lot of cigar smokers who have also smoked a lot of Sigs and can assure you, their experience mirrors mine ...

Something at the source you bought them from, something during transit, or something while in your possession affected those specific cigars ...

SteveS: Get back over the the T board! Yer missed! 🙂 Love those Sigs, those are my fav "everyday" smoke, even though i only smoke one or two cigars a week. Never had a problem, unless it was getting those pesky bands off so i could nub them.

Thanks for all the input Guys. I must say that I do buy cigars to smoke them and am guilty of smoking them to early out of the box. As far as the source is concerned he is a trusted supplier that I have been dealing with for a long time. I will pick up some more of the Signatures and give them a rest before I spark one up.

Make sure you give them enough rest to stabalize throughout the entire cigar. The Signatures are my favorite right now. I keep at LEAST a box on hand at all times.

and GREAT to see you back here SteveS!!!!!
