Looks like about a 59? I had a 65 F150. I think even the seats were metal! What a great truck!

"Fix Or Repair Daily"

I dont see any 60 Chevy PU's on the road now days, and old Dodges? Forget it. But around here you see a lot of old 50's and 60's Fords used as daily drivers.

that would be

First on Race Day.

I have owned all the US makes and Ford has by far beaten them all when it comes to a quality product.

My 94 Escort wagon has 240,000 miles on it same engine. Only new item besides normal maint is the clutch.

All my in-laws swear by GM and they spend a heck of a lot of time in the shop.

I second that Tony. Ford are built tough man and I really mean it. I had a mustang when I was in high school, (81 or 82 I think) anyway I drove that thing down the ditch, back up to the tree, rear end someone car.......etc and etc and it still run like a champ! Also, the heater on that damn thing works great too 🙂

This would make a great sleeper with a new 600hp 514" Ford Crate motor. To quote Homer Simpson, mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Or if it has the original engine and trans it would be great to restore to as new condition.

Either way, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I drive roughly 30,000 miles a year on oilwell and gaswell lease roads. Trust me on this one. Chevy's have a nicer ride than Ford, but Ford is so much tougher it's not even close. If my boss would let me get a Chevy i would, but it's just not worth the repair bills. And Dodge? They just suck all the way around.

Just got a new crewcab 4x4 Ford. Chevy had better look out because these things are outstanding in the ride department. Now let's see if they kept them just as tough.

Thats actually sorta funny, my Dad swears by Chevy and has had a 82 blue rust bucket of one forever with a snow plow on it. It has run forever despite being beat to death every Alaskan winter. But he works for a company that modifies superduty fords. He's probably gone through half a dozen of thier fords. 😉

Similar here...

Of all the cars I've owned, My Chevy's have been the best. Never had anything major that I couldn't resolve, aside from the oneissue that pushed me from the last Chevy to this Chevy.
