This is a pic of the biggest fish I've ever caught. Didn't put it on a scale but estimated weight was about 230. It's a black marlin caught off shore from Pearl Harbor. Me (on the right) and a coworker both took turns in the fighting chair. It only took about 30 minutes to get it in the boat but man what fun.

There were 6 of us (exclusing the captain and the deck hand) on the boat that day but only 5 of us fished. Our boss spent the entire time on the upper deck with captain because he was getting seasick every time he came down to the lower deck. We caught a couple of other smaller bill fish that day.

The deck hand cleaned them for us when we got back to the dock and we each took home a lot of fish. Most of it was cooked on the grill or smoker.

It wasn't a really big fish for those waters. The day before we caught this one, another friend of mine was on a boat that brought in a blue marlin that was more than 600 pounds. It took them several hours to get it to the boat and they ended up needing to be towed in because they had engine problems.
