Well, I had a bad experience today with a Bolivar Fuerte Cuban Corona. Slim and Xibbumbero highly recommended these, and, fish that I am, I bit and bought a box. They only lasted about a month, and the last one was kind of disappointing.
I was smoking it on the way home from work. I like a cigar with pepper, and this one was peppery and seemed pretty good for about a half hour. Then I got home around 1 a.m., and it was only smoked halfway, so I put it down on the steps at my front door entry.
I forgot about it until this afternoon. It had rained some during the night and morning, but not too heavy, and the cigar still looked okay. At least it wasnt all dried out like some cigars get when they are half smoked. It is commonly accepted that it is okay to re-light a cigar as many times as necessary during the day, but never the next day. Well, of course, 1 a.m. is today, so it's still the same day, so I relighted it. To tell you the truth, it was a little harsh and strong and really never got much better. I could only smoke it down to about a half inch and then had to toss it.
Do you think I just got a bad box? Dont tell me to try another one before ordering more, because it was my last one. Maybe one of my fine BOTL would send me a few to try befoe I splurge on another box. I dunno. Any opinions?
