Jonglo, you do not believe in slamming other people's opinion, so I hope you won't slam mine.

You are wrong.

The prices people pay for lots are their OPINION of what that lot is worth. My opinion is different than yours. Yours is different than someone else. The essence of the free market system is that the value of a product is exactly equal to what someone is willing to pay for it. You and I may not be willing to pay that price and we are free to decline to purchase it at that price. That does not make the buyer wrong, it just means he values the product more than we do.

Auctions are the purest form of the free market system and complaining about auction prices is futile and pointless. The buyer valued the item EXACTLY how much he paid for it.

Every post on this thread has said you are wrong to condemn "overbidders", because we are ALL "overbidders" to someone, somewhere. You are willing to pay a price for an item that I would never pay, but the difference is I will never call you "stupid" or "ignorant" for it because you have a different value system than I, and I accept that fact.

JMHO

I usually don't reply to this kind of thing but I like Yoyo Ma, so smelly I totally agree with you, lol 🙂

Jonglo, you said if the bidding keep going up cBid will eventually lose your business and "Its all in the best intrest of C-bid to keep my business and yours"

I find this funny because even those cBid lose your business, the guys who bid higher than you still paying cBid so actually cBid make more money without your business! Secondly, cBid always will have my business just because i like to hang out here with all the BOTLs for trading and I dont mind to pay a few more every now and then to keep them in business and provide us this forum to enjoy.

Again, we all know there are pletny of places to buy cigars, so take your business somewhere else where you like, it's might just be in cBid's best interest that you don't buy from them? I and other BOTLs on the other hand like it here and find cBid to be a good place to buy cigar.

One more thing, don't call people stupid or ignorant just because they are willing to pay more than you do. I probably make more money than you do but I don't call you poor 🙂 how you like that?

jonglo --- I haven't the time to read through all the posts (I'm at work), but all I will say ... and I will say it loudly ...

THIS IS AN AUCTION SITE !!!

If you want to pay less, you take your chances ... if you want to pay more ... that's your right ... if you want to pay retail ... GO TO A RETAIL SITE!

I have been kind of hoping someone would bring up this topic.

Consideration should be given to a Federal subsidy of cigar auction sites, and laws passed prohibiting bids above 80% of internet retail. Or 79%. Certainly no more than 81%. Any bidder who tricked the system by setting his Auto-Bid to the maximum federal level on more than 3 Fuente products in a calendar quarter would be prohibited from bidding for 3 years and forced to buy cigars at local shops in Oregon.

I'd chastise all of you for having too much time on your hands, but I, myself took the time to read all of this crap.

As I've seen posted several times, the people that overbid pay for the ones that underbid. They are paying for the cigars that you & I steal! What a country!

jonglo, if I were c-bid and I was given the choice of losing your business in favor of someone else's who I'm going to make more money on I'd be more then happy to show you the door. After all most companies are in business to make money.
